Ashiana housing scheme to have all facilities: CM Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif
LAHORE (Saturday, APril 30, 2011) : Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said that the Ashiana Housing Project would be a benchmark in the history of residential projects of the country where all the modern residential facilities would be available to the common man.
According to a handout issued on Saturday, he stated this during his visit to the under-construction Ashiana Housing Project at Saroba Attari.
Expressing satisfaction with the development work of the scheme, Shahbaz said that the project was meant for the poor and common man and no compromise would be made over its quality. He said the PML-N under the leadership of Mian Nawaz Sharif was implementing a comprehensive programme for the welfare of the masses. Utilisation of every penny of the public money was being ensured and all development projects were being completed transparently. Third party audit of Ashiana project would also be carried out, he added.
Chairman Punjab Land Development Company Sheikh Alauddin gave a detailed briefing with regard to pace of work on the project and said that after Lahore, final shape had been given to the Ashiana Housing Scheme projects in Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sahiwal and Jhelum and work on the schemes would start soon.
Senator Pervaiz Rashid, Secretary Information, Commissioner Lahore Division and other concerned officers were also present.
