MEPCO WAPDA Cancelled Demand Notice for New Grid Station on March 9, 2016
Multan (Friday, March 11, 2016) – According to an new report published in daily Urdu newspapaer Nawaiwaqt Multan, published today, the Multan Electric Supply Company (MEPCO) has cancelled the demand notice for 132 KV Fatima Jinnah Housing Scheme Grid Station construction. This demand notice was issued to Multan Development Authority (MDA) in December, 2015 and February, 2016.
The amount of demand notice was Rs.26,70,33,423. While last date of payment was March 9, 2016. After that date MEPCO Wapda has cancelled the said demand notice. In November, 2015 MDA promised to provide electricity within a month of period, but still ….. Current Additional DG MDA Altaf Hussain Sariyo is trying to solve this long standing issue.
Thus provision of electricity to new housing scheme of Fatima Jinnah Town Multan has been halted. This is long standing issue. While other development work are near to completion. The allottees of Fatima Jinnah Town are waiting for long time for electricity.
