Havelian Town Housing Scheme District Abbottabad inauguration ceremony in CM Office Peshawar : Balloting of Havelian Town District Abbottabad Housing Scheme in Peshawar by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr Ameer Haider Hoti
PESHAWAR (Monday, June 6, 2011): Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti termed the initiating of new housing schemes a good omen to meet the growing requirements of residential facilities in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in general and in the provincial metropolis in particular.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the opening of the draw of five and ten marla plots in the Havilian Housing Scheme, he said that the potential of the sector could be utilized through both public and private investment in the sector.Those who attended the ceremony were included Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Housing, Amjad Khan Afridi, Secretary. Ghulam Qadir Khan, Deputy Secretary, Khalid Khan, Director General (DG) Provincial Housing Authority (PHA), Abdul Haleem Paracha, Director Finance, Sharifullah Khan, Assistant Director, Yaqub Khan, Managing Director, Bank of Khyber (BoK), Bilal Mustafa and senior officials of the department. On this occasion, the chief minister was given briefing on the housing schemes and efforts of the department in that regard. He was told that a large number of government employees and general public have submitted their applications for plots in the Havilian Housing Scheme. The 218 kanal area scheme, it was told consist of 241 plots with 150 of five marla and remaining 91 of 10 marla. The chief minister was told that the Rs.145.948 million Havilian Town Housing Scheme, Abbottabad would be completed within a period of two years where all kind of facilities including black top roads, drainage system, provision of electricity, gas, telephone, park, mosque, school, market and other amenities of life would be available.The chief minister welcomed the housing scheme and congratulated the department on its initiation. He said that in past the potential of the sector was never utilized resulting in increasing residential problems of the people. He said that the present government is giving attention to private and public sector investment in the sector, which is bearing positive results. The Secretary, Housing told the chief minister that Havilian Housing Scheme is second largest housing scheme initiated during the current financial year. Before, this scheme, he said draw for the plots in Mulazai Scheme, Warsak Road was held and work on that scheme is in full-swing.A scheme for the construction of 40 flats is also in progress and assured that the department will leave no stone unturned in giving practical shape to the provincial government’s vision of house for all. He told that 218 kanal lands was handing to the provincial housing authority in village Attai Khan last year and has prepared a PC-I for the better utilization of the land on the cost of Rs.146 million. On February 19, 2011 PDWP has given approval of the scheme. He expressed gratitude to the chief minister for extending encouragement and cooperation to the department in this regard. Earlier, the Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti inaugurated computerized draw of five and ten marla plots in Havilian Town Scheme.
