Islamabad (April 10, 2011): Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) has delivered 15,465 developed plots and 2,069 apartments in different housing schemes in major cities of Pakistan so far since its inception.
FGEHF plans to provide 5,430 plots to the federal government employees, media-men and other eligible specified groups, while development of these plots is in progress. Whereas 4,000 plots and 2,700 high rise apartments will be developed and delivered in the coming days, official sources told APP.
According to the Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation, 19,629 employees were registered under a membership launched in 2010.
The objective of this scheme was to enlist the federal government employees for plots and flats in future housing schemes. “Employees once registered with the foundation will get plots in the forthcoming schemes,” the sources said.
FGEHF had signed an agreement with a private company for provision of developed plots on an area of 3,000 kanals in Bhara Kahu.
They said objective of the foundation was to provide shelter to serving as well as retired FG Employees and specified group of people decided by the board from time to time by launching schemes on ownership basis in Islamabad and other major cities.
