Lahore: Aashyana Houses to be Complete in a year: Chairman Punjab Land Development Company (PLDC) CHAIRMAN Punjab Land Development Company Sheikh Allauddin has said that the construction work of infrastructure would be completed within one year and the process of giving possession of constructed houses to the applicants will be completed within two years in “Aashyana” Housing Scheme as per commitment.
He said that 19,000 applications have been received for three thousands houses which was an expression of confidence of the people in people-friendly housing scheme of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
He said that majority of applicants have demanded to launch such a people-friendly residential project near Lahore and Punjab Land Development Company has identified government land adjacent to DHA Phase 9 and 10 at Azam Chowk near Bank Stop on Ferozepur Road and has appealed to the Chief Minister Punjab to issue orders for allocation of this land for Aashyana Housing Scheme.
He expressed these views while addressing a press conference here on Monday. Sheikh Allauddin dispelled this impression that Punjab Land Development Company was receiving the processing fee of Rs 890 from the applicants. He made it clear that this money is, in fact, a fee of the bank for verification of eligibility of applicant and the institution making arrangements for draw.
