New Balakot City – Location Map and Master Plan
Balakot District Mansehra (Thursday, December 10, 2015) – Over ten years has been passed when an devastating earthquake destroyed the historical city of Balakot in Hazara region. Balakot is tehsil head quarters of District Mansehra. It is gateway of the beautiful and attractive Kaghan Valley. Thousands of peoples were killed in this earthquake.
After earthquake Government of Pakistan planned anew city for the people of Balakot. This new city was planned between Balakot and Mansehra. It was 24 kilometers away from existing Balakot city and some 35 kilometers distance from Mansehra city.
This City was developed at Bakrial Area. Where 5000 residential plots were planned to developed. While just 1500 plots are developed in last 8 years. For this purpose 15000 kanal area was allotted. But still Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has failed to took possession of 100 % land. KPK Govt. has took possession of only 15 percent of land area.
Today the affected peoples of Balakot City has reached in Islamabad, Where they will protest in front of residence of Chairman PTI Mr. Imran Khan, The Bani Gala.
