Shahbaz for early completion of Land Record Management and Information System
LAHORE: (Thursday, March 3, 2011): Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the project of Land Record Management and Information System, which is of great importance, is already delayed and the pace of work should be accelerated and all possible steps should be taken for its early completion.
He was presiding over a meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Thursday to review the progress on the project.
The CM said that after completion of the project, not only people would be facilitated in getting the revenue record but they would also get rid of Patwari culture and all matters would be dealt with transparently. He also issued directions to complete the Kasur project by April 1. The meeting took a number of important decisions for further speeding up the work on Land Record Management and Information System.
Project Director Irfan Elahi gave a detailed briefing with regard to decisions taken during the last two and a half years regarding land record computerization project and its implementation.
The meeting was also attended by the chief secretary, chairman Planning & Development, member Board of Revenue and chairman Punjab Information Technology Board.
