Mepco Wapda Approved Electricity for MDA Fatima Jinnah Town Multan
Multan (Wednesday, April 27th, 2016) – Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) has approved the electricity for the MDA’s Fatima Jinnah Town Housing Scheme Phase-I and Phase-II. This has been reached after the contract signed between Multan Development Authority (MDA) and MEPCO.
Electricity will be provided from new 11 KVA feeder. This long standing issue between WAPDA and MDA. The allottees of Fatima Jinnah Town were demanding early provision of Wapda electricity. They threaten to launch and protest movement last week.
MDA launched Fatima Jinnah Housing Project in 2006. It takes almost 10 years to complete the development in both phases.

Fatima Jinnah Town is ideally located at southern side of Vehari Road and along east and south of Southern Bypass Road up to its crossing with Dunyapur Road and Multan branch canal. It is nearest to Vehari chowk and general Bus Stand. While Multan Metro Bus Route is also touching this area.

Fatima Jinnah Town journalists Block
Chief Minister Punjab has been pleased to approve a separate block for journalists in FJT-2. This block consists of 534 plots of ten marla size. Punjab Information Department would take care of its allotment and allied drudgery. MDA would only acquire land for Information Department and will also carry out development on deposit work basis. The cost of acquisition and development shall be paid by the Punjab Government.
